Hey everyone! I’m back with another skin care post. Today I will be sharing 10 tips for how to have clear skin. So, let’s get straight into it!
Check out the video of this post below:
1. Drink Lots Of Water
I believe that this tip is the most essential because we get clear skin from the inside out. Drinking water flushes out bad toxins in our bodies and improves the digestive system and this in turn gives us glowing & healthy skin. It also fights skin conditions such are eczema, psoriasis, and wrinkles.
We should be drinking about half of our body’s weight in ounces, daily. For example, if you weight 140 pounds, you should be drinking 70oz of water a day.
2. Exercise
As I’m writing this post I am at the gym getting my daily exercise session in. (There is someone standing directly in front of me waiting for my machine. Out of all of the machines here she stands and waits for mine lol.)
Anyways, exercise is a gateway to clear skin because it increases blood flow and helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital.
Exercising at least 15 minutes a day can be very beneficial to your skin. If 15 minutes a day is not feasible for you then you can split your workouts up and exercise for about 45mins to 1 hour, 3 days out of the week.
An Extra Tip:
Do some squats, lunges, jumping jacks, or any quick exercise while you are waiting for your food to be done in the microwave. You are usually just standing there waiting for it anyway, so utilize that time!
3. Eat Food That Are Good For You
Our body reacts to what we give it, so be conscious of the foods that you give your body. Fruits and vegetables are essential to having clear skin. They contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals.
Also try to limit or stay away from fried foods with lot of oils in it because that can be detrimental to having clear skin.
I will be doing a post on what exact foods are conducive to achieve clear skin very soon! So be sure to subscribe to this blog to be notified when I post it! Where can you subscribe? On the side of this post. 😊
4. Be Consistent
When I say be consistent, I mean be consistent in every possible way. Take into account all of the tips that I am sharing today and implement them into your daily routine and you should see a difference in your skin!
What to be Consistent in to have Clear Skin
- Make sure that you are consistent in your routine. Your skin performs best when it has time to get use to a product, so give it some time to see results.
- Be consistent in your diet and your exercise schedule. Again your body performs best when it is on schedule because it knows what to expect. However, if you start to skip a couple of days it will for sure show on your face, most likely in the form of pimples.
- Be consistent in washing you face EVERY NIGHT. I’ll say it again. EVERY NIGHT, fam. You never want to have the dirt or make-up from the day left on you face while you sleep. This is a for sure way to wake up with pimples! Check out the products I use to see what I use to clean my face every night along with my routine here.
5. Clean Your Makeup Brushes Often
This is something that I tend to neglect because I have to intentionally make time to clean my brushes. Not having relatively clean brushes can cause you go to break out because of all of the old left over make that is left on the brushes. It can cause your pores to become clogged which in turn can cause acne.
6. Read the Ingredients on Your Products
Be aware of what you are applying to your face. In the video above, I mention a product that claimed it was made of coconut oil and castor on the front of the jar. When I went to the back of the jar the first ingredient was petroleum which is another word for vaseline. Vasaline is not good for you face or scalp because it will cause your pores to become clogged.
So, pay attention to what is actually in the products you use and don’t automatically trust what you see written on the bottle.
7. Use SPF
SPF is important in protecting the skin from harmful UV Rays. Even when the sun is not out very strongly it is still important to use sunscreen.
I am personally allergic to typical sunscreen. So, I use shea butter instead. Shea butter has powerful anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe skin swellings, irritation and inflammation. It also contains antibacterial properties and mild sun protection qualities. The protect ranges from a 6-10.
8.Clean Your Pillow Cases
This tip is relatively simple but it is often forgotten. Dirt can accumulate on your pillow cases and if you forget to wash them they will transfer to your face and possibly cause you to break out.
Throw your pillow cases into the wash, every week you wash clothes!
9. Keep Your Hands Off Of Your Face
This is a big struggle for me personally because I unconsciously touch my face a lot and this causes dirt from my hands to get on my face which ultimately causes me to breakout.
When ever you find yourself touching your face for no reason at all check yourself and stop. Also, always keep hand sanitizer with you because it is flu season!
10. Exfoliate
Be sure to exfoliate at least twice a week. Exfoliating is helpful in making your skin smooth and getting rid of the dead/rough skin on your face.
Those are the tips that I have for you all today. Be sure to comment down below and let me know what you do to keep your skin clear and acne free!
As always thanks for reading and be sure to check back in soon! 💕

6 is so important. I can’t use coconut oil on my skin but picked up a sunscreen that had it as a top 5 ingredient. Taking that extra 30 seconds would’ve saved me a lot of time in the long run

I understand completely. I’m just so anal about stuff like that lol plus I hate returning things 😂
